Why 360 Pages and Not 365?

Last updated on - 30 June, 2025

Why does Dream Story Live have 360 storytelling pages for the year, instead of the 365 days in the calendar?

There are a few thoughtful reasons behind this choice:

1. The Power of 360 in Geometry and Energy

The number 360 has long fascinated me, especially after watching the documentary Sonic Geometry: The Language of Frequency and Form. Unlike 365, the number 360 divides evenly into many parts — it represents wholeness, cycles, and the full circle. It’s an ancient symbol of balance and harmonic resonance.

2. A Break from Perfection and Uniformity

I intentionally avoided aligning the platform strictly with the 365-day calendar. I wanted to prevent Dream Story Live from resembling a religious or rigid practice. By introducing a few natural “imperfections,” it becomes more inclusive and flexible.

To preserve the Gregorian calendar connection, some pages on Dream Story Live represent two dates instead of one:

  • Page 9 = March 30 & 31
  • Page 99 = June 29 & 30
  • Page 113 = July 14 & 15
  • Page 128 = July 30 & 31
  • Page 158 = August 30 & 31
  • Page 339 = February 28 & 29

These were chosen thoughtfully — often at the end of months — to avoid favoring specific cultures or traditions.

3. Spiral Time: Cycles within Cycles

While 360 forms a perfect circle, I also view the journaling journey as a spiral — always circling back while moving forward. Imagine a slinky viewed from the top: it looks like a circle, but in reality, it spirals upward. Similarly, the Earth’s orbit around the Sun — and the Sun’s journey through the galaxy — creates a vast cosmic spiral. Dream Story Live reflects that movement.

4. Blank Pages for Collective Creation

Each page in Dream Story Live is an unconditional blank space. Today’s page is ready for your story; yesterday’s can still be revisited. Tomorrow’s page? It’s still unwritten — for everyone. Together, we are shaping not just personal memories, but shared visions for a better world — one page at a time.

360 pages, infinite possibility.
